The business was originally founded in 1960, and later fully acquired by Tom Manchester in 1980. Tom's initial focus was to bring his many years of experience in chemical engineering and sales leadership to the manufacturers' representative business as well as provide highly engineered component products and equipment to the chemical, petrochemical, polymers, and industrial industries.
As Manchester Group grew, so did its reputation which allowed for quick expansion of its market and product focus. Tom's son, Steve Manchester, later joined the business, which enabled Manchester Group to serve additional growing markets including, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, water and water treatment, oil and gas, agricultural, aerospace, and commercial construction.
Today, Manchester Group is a third generation business with the addition of Steve's two sons, Ryan and Reed, who are excited to expand and grow the business over the next 40 years.
We continue to distinguish ourselves from competition with our family spirit, innovative company, expansive capabilities, and willingness to partner with customers on solutions. Some of our recent business expansions include our in-house design, engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, and installation capabilities.
Our leadership position among other suppliers is demonstrated by the way we continue to redefine what it traditionally means to be a manufacturers' representative business. Customers look to us to solve their challenges, not just to provide generic products or components. The key to our success has been our belief that businesses prosper when relationships, trust, and customer service remain the central focus.
